Position tasks:

Accounts Payable (material/equipment invoices):
-Match Purchase Orders to invoices
-Verifying invoices questions to site or vendor, getting credit invoices if needed, making sure the appropriate amount of GST & PST was applied
-Enter invoices into QuickBooks accounting software

-Obtaining required documents to release payments
-Issuing cheques or on-line payments to suppliers
-Filling out credit applications for new suppliers
-Taking calls from vendors regarding payment issues
-Collecting serial numbers & asset tags numbers on new items purchased, for inventory tracking.
-Maintaining spreadsheet of rental items for insurance purposes

Payroll Administration
-Assisting with payroll data entry and completion

Other tasks:
Checking Visa statements and entering transactions
Dealing with questions from site &/or vendors

Assisting accountant with PST monthly remittance

Qualifications required
A certificate from a secondary educational institution in Accounting is preferred. A working expertise of QuickBooks software is required and an average working expertise of Microsoft Word and Excel is also required. Familiarity with Saskatchewan and Canadian Labour and taxation laws, regulations and Act is valuable. Candidates should be organized, detailed, initiative to deal with problems, and have an inclination for technology as we are currently upgrading software.
