A Vancouver located Mining company located in Downtown is seeking an organized, detail-oriented Senior Accounting adjunct to join their dynamic team. As the Senior Accounting adjunct, you will be handling multiple projects and work towards deadlines with a strong sense of urgency as and when needed. The capability to prioritize and work well under pressure is paramount.

Key responsibilities
• Verify invoice accuracy, coding invoices and obtaining approvals
• Following up with consultants/vendors for inquiries or discrepancies
• Reconcile invoices, intercompany transactions to ensure accuracy and completeness
• Support the Finance department to ensure accurate flow of invoices in a timely manner
• Printing cheques, obtaining bank drafts and processing wire transfer payments
• Support the Manager of Tax in the preparation of the company's worldwide tax provision, tax compliance, tax audit and tax forecast responsibilities
• Assisting with on-going CRA tax audits, assembling significant information and with other tax projects as directed

Qualifications
• 3 - 5 + years exposure to full cycle accounting
• Previous practice with a mining company would be an asset
• capability to multi-task and work effectively within a fast-paced environment
• Strong verbal and written communication expertise
• Confidence and capability to adapt quickly to handle a variety of social situations
• Proficiency with MS Word, Excel and Outlook (QuickBooks practice would be an asset)
