Real Estate Processor


Hudson Valley Credit Union is currently recruiting for aReal Estate Processor.The prosperous candidate willprocess conventional and government residential mortgage applications located on Credit Union Policies, real estatelending products, automated underwriting, and secondary market investor guidelines and state and federalmortgage regulatory requirements. Primary contact with members and all parties involved in the mortgage process to ensure consistent communication and Credit Union service standards are met.


• Processresidential mortgage loan applications in compliance with secondary market lending guidelines andmortgage industry standards. Activates and initiates services for new residential mortgage loan applications.
• Initiate introductory member contact for all new applications, communicating mortgage process overview andoutstanding documentation. Remain a key point of contact for the member from application submissionthrough closing.
• Manage loan documentation to ensure the data integrity and accuracy of information entered into the loanorigination system. Generates loan documents and prepares the mortgage file for underwriting.
• Maintain continuing expertise of secondary market guidelines and state and federal compliance regulations.
• Review all loan information, including, but not limited to credit reports, appraisal reports, contract of sale,earnings and asset documentation to confirm accuracy of information in the loan origination system. Validatethe findings of automated underwriting systems pursuant to Credit Union and secondary market guidelinerequirements.
• Perform follow-up on outstanding documents with members, appraisers, attorneys and other parties to ensurethere is no delay in processing the file for final approval.
• Issue documents required by TRID, including re-disclosure for any change of circumstance that occurs withinprocessing.
• Interpret computer system in order to accurately respond to member inquiries regarding their existing and pending residential mortgage loan applications.
• Adhere to all Credit Union policies, procedures, and regulatory agency requirements. Participate in all required and recommended training and development including, but not limited to, Bank Secrecy Act training (BSA) and demonstrate attained expertise. Participate on Credit Union teams, projects and strategic initiatives when the opportunity arises. Perform additional tasks and special projects as assigned.

• Responsible for regular and predictable attendance including punctuality.


•High School Diploma, General Education Development (GED) certificate, or state authorized high school equivalent certificate required.
•Minimum 1 yearcustomer service practice in a financial institution or retail environment required.
•Minimum 1 year mortgage processing or underwriting practice required.
• Telephone sales in a financial institution or retailenvironment preferred.
•Registration with the National Mortgage Licensing System and Registry (NMLS) required.
