Listing description

This is a professional position under the direction of the Facilities Custodial & Grounds Manager. The Facilities adjunct Custodial and Grounds Manager is responsible for the evening supervision on both campuses (Middletown and Newburgh) of the custodial staff, including insuring the cleanliness of classrooms, offices and other campus facilities (approx. 600,000 square feet). The Facilities adjunct Custodial and Grounds Manager will primarily work from 3 pm until 11 pm Monday through Friday with occasional day and weekend work. The individual in this function will also be required to work during inclement weather to make sure that the campus is appropriately prepared for the arrival of staff and students.

General Requirements:

Education Required : Bachelor's Degree with one year required practice or an Associate's with three years required practice, or five years of required practice.
practice Required : practice supervising large (10+) cleaning crews and have working expertise of cleaning equipment and chemicals; one year managery practice.
Preferred expertise, expertise, Abilities and Worker Characteristics:
   » capability to effectively establish and maintain working relationships with supervising personnel, co-workers, all college employees and the public.
   » capability to manage multiple projects.
   » Must be able to travel between the college's two campuses and other sites.
   » Bilingual expertise.
